Munich / Ehningen, July 2026. Three exhibition days, one clear takeaway: demand for professional, non-invasive bird protection for photovoltaic systems is growing across Europe. At Intersolar Europe 2026 in Munich (23–25 June), Pyramidi GmbH presented its clip-on protection system PV Protector® at booth A3.616 — attracting trade visitors from all over Europe.

Tool-free installation wins over installers

Live demonstrations were the centrepiece of the booth: PV Protector® attaches directly to the lower module edge without drilling, screws or any intervention in the module — fully reversible and warranty-friendly. Many installers fitted the segments themselves at the booth, needing only seconds per clip.

Solutions for existing installations were in particularly high demand: soiled modules, clogged gutters and nesting material next to hot DC cables have become everyday issues for installers. Studies put the output loss caused by pigeon droppings at up to 25% — a topic that came up again and again in conversations at the booth.

International interest

The booth was deliberately multilingual, with product information and audio guides in 17 languages. Beyond the DACH market, numerous enquiries came from wholesalers and installation companies across Europe.

“The response exceeded our expectations. For many installers, bird protection is no longer a niche topic but a standard part of maintenance and system protection. That is exactly what we built PV Protector for: fast to install, gentle on the module, and reliable for years.”

What happens next

All trade fair contacts are currently receiving product documentation in their own language. Installers and distributors who would like to test PV Protector® can request free samples. And if you would rather meet the uninvited “sub”tenant on screen: the new 60-second explainer film is now live on the homepage of pv-protector.com.
